Our History

 

In the summer of 2012, an idea that had been incubating for years finally became a reality.  Approximately ten years prior, the Visionary, James Riddick Jr., had ideas about an organization that would show young men how to build great relationships with other men.  As the years past, Mr. Riddick was presented with many opportunities to provide advice and counsel to young men.  His wife was always nudging him to pursue his aspirations for starting a mentoring organization but he felt the timing was never right.

The passion to pursue this aspiration became overwhelmingly strong in the summer so Mr. Riddick committed time in prayer and consecration to seek God for His direction.  During this time, God gave him answers to questions that he had about foundational principles as well as goals and aspirations for the organization.

 

On Saturday, August 18, 2012 at an IHOP in Capital Heights, Maryland, Operation Reach Back (ORB) was officially birthed.  God truly bless Operation Reach Back in its infancy and we expect GREATER as we continue to "Reach Back to Push Forward"!  The best is indeed yet to come!!!
